Messy Masterclasses
**NEW** ‘How to…’ guides
‘How to…’ guides are short ‘TED talk’ style videos on key issues facing Messy Church teams. Written and recorded by subject matter experts from across the Messy Church network, these ten-minute videos are for time-poor Messy Church teams to get some top tips for tackling particular challenges. Launching in April, we’ll show each video as part of a Zoom session you’re invited to participate in and discuss with other Messy Church leaders. Afterwards, the video will be available to watch anytime and will be accompanied by a one page guide written by the video contributor. Click below for dates and subjects.
Onsite training
Onsite Training is available from a member of the BRF Messy Church team or our Trainers Support Team. We will travel to your venue, at a date and time to suit you, to deliver a bespoke training session tailored to your needs. Training is usually built on our core topics as outlined below.
Starting your Messy Church
An interactive presentation covering the basics of what Messy Church is and isn’t; its shape, values, national and international reach; the resources available to help you; advice on your own unique situation; FAQs. There is also usually a sample hands on session to participate in if time permits.
Messy Church Values
An overview of what Messy Church is, followed by an in-depth exploration of the five Messy Church values and how developing these will deepen what your team offers month by month. Hands-on activities to enable discussion as well as participation by delegates all through.
Messy Church Discipleship
An interactive presentation exploring what discipleship looks like in a Messy Church context and what overarching principles to take into consideration. There will also be an opportunity to share suggestions that are already working in Messy Churches and to discuss practical ideas for use in your own setting from the Discipleship Pilot.
Costs
Our costs are £350 for a full day (two x 2 hours), and £200 for a half day (2 hours) for up to 25 people. There is an additional charge of £5 per person for each person over the 25 people. Travel expenses are charged at 45p per mile. A £50 deposit (subtracted from the final amount) is required to secure your booking. To minimise costs, you may wish to contact other local Churches in your area to see if they would also be interested in attending and therefore share the costs.
If you would like to enquire about an onsite training session, please complete an online form and a member of the team will be in contact with you.
