Growing Christian Values is a discipleship course with Messy Church in mind. For groups young, old and anywhere in between, it comprises twelve sessions helping people to understand Christian values and how to live them in daily life. It complements the session material in Get Messy! Volume 3 so that the same topic can be explored between Messy Church gatherings but using different Bible passages, or it can be used on its own.
Topics covered include hope (Jesus provides hope in a desperate situation), compassion (Jesus has compassion on the crowd), peace (Nehemiah rebuilds peace in the city), generosity (Jesus notices a generous giver), perseverance (the wisemen persevere to find Jesus), love (Ruth demonstrates faithful love), integrity (Jesus’ integrity is challenged in the desert), courage (David’s courage is rooted in God), community (the first Christian community), purpose (God has a purpose for everyone), justice (God is working to bring about justice) and patience (waiting patiently for God’s promise to be fulfilled).
