How to tell others about your Messy Church

  • Check out the resources from CPO (invitations, posters, banners, fliers).
  • Download the Messy Church logo and find out how you can use it.
  • Set up a Facebook page, a Twitter account, a web page or website.
  • Write an article for your church magazine and website.
  • Contact your local newspaper, radio and tv stations with details and photos (read our advice on taking photographs).
  • Inform your circuit, diocesan or similar newspaper with a press release and photos.
  • Invite the Mayor or MP along (they will want to appear in the local press).
  • Make invitations at Messy Church for the current congregation to give to friends.
  • Put invitations in school book bags (with permission).
  • Put an article in the school newsletter (with permission).
  • Put up posters in local shops, the library, children’s centres, places where toddler groups meet.
  • Run a Messy Church stand or stall at a local fair, show or market.
  • Design your own flier.
  • Walk your dog with people and gossip about it.
