We’ve produced a new resource to help people think through the themes of peace and reconciliation as our focus – both national and international – turns to the commemoration of the 80th anniversary of VE Day on 8 May 2025. It has been developed from resources used for the extravaganza that was Messy Cathedral, at St Paul’s Cathedral in London on 15 February.
This resource is for you to use when having conversations about war and conflict with children. The important thing is to create a safe and open space for children to think, reflect, and process their feelings and thoughts. It can be used individually or in a group setting. We’re grateful to Sarah Agnew for writing this resource for us, Sarah is Children and Families Ministry Advisor at Diocese of London. She also volunteers at the Imperial War Museum, London as an eyewitness talking about war and conflict with children and young people on gallery.
